Has anyone here completed the virtual interview recently? How long did it take to hear back? Thanks!

When it comes to base assignment during training, I see that it's based off of SSN. With that being said, I expect to be more or less at the end of that list, so out of ORD, MSP, and DTW, which base goes most junior? I saw that the 9/7/21 hires all got those 3 bases.

Am I right to assume there's no choice/bidding in training and it's a simple lottery assignment?

Cheers

There is bidding in training and that is where class seniority comes into play. As to what bases will be offered up in your class, that is anybody's guess. It all depends on what SkyWest needs that cycle. There's absolutely no telling until your class.

I see per the company website that DEN/ORD/MSP/SLC on the EJet all can be attainable fairly quickly as a new hire. Can anyone chime in how long one can expect be on reserve for each base?

Impossible to answer because things change and each base is different. Theres people here that have only been on reserve one month their whole time here, and some people with bad timing that have been on reserve 18 months. Right now my guess is somewhere around 3-6 months. But thats a pure guess.

General rule is CRJ is quickest to hold a line or base you want, unless it's an ERJ only base. The joke is people fly the CRJ to move on, but people retire to the ERJ.

Edit: Just a snapshot in time, but my classmates that hit the line in June are line holders in DEN/FAT in Oct on the CRJ. Still on reserve in ORD for me.

This will most likely continue to be the case but with 20 ERJs coming for American, 9 new ERJs for Alaska, retiring some older 900s and replacing them with ERJs for Delta, opening a Houston base on the ERJ for United, and the absolute hatred of the 200 by almost everyone except the bean counters, there is no guarantee that it does continue to be the case.
Predicting the future of bases, reserve times and upgrades is a fool's game.

Anywhere from one week to upwards of a year or two. I am not trying to be sarcastic. It’s impossible to predict!
