Not really but they could get hired, fly 400 hours and upgrade a year or more earlier and probably have a flow or interview with the mainline. Also who's to say something doesn't happen between now and 6-8 months from now.

You’re not very good at math either are you. October to May is not 6 months. And that’s how much seniority he’s giving up by waiting around until then. That’s the difference between getting furloughed 10 times versus 5 times in some cases.

Movement is fluid. Just had a pilot waiting for a Feb class date start last month. IMHO, if you are in the pool, contact your recruiter to option into an earlier class.

So the indoc welcome says it takes place on Microsoft Teams from the “comfort of your current location.” Does this mean indoc is done from home? Or do they fly us to SLC to sit in a hotel and do the meetings virtually?

Done from home. You fly in after indoc is complete.

I know this has been asked before but I'm wondering if theres an updated answer from anyone who has had class recently. How is seniority determined because I've heard age, last 2 of social, and first 2 of social. So is it always changing?

It’s that last 4 of ssn if you’re a non-cadet.
If you’re a cadet, it’s by date of cadet orientation.

It's last 4 of social (0000 is more senior than 9999), after the cadets in your class. Some classes let the more senior classmates pair up with junior classmates and other classes go strictly by seniority order. If you're really concerned, make friends with the more senior cadets and lock up a sim partner on day 1.
