I read 90% of United pilots are vax’d. I’ve got to believe that’s typical for all pilot groups. When it comes to making the mortgage or not, I’m guessing most choose too.

But. Yeah. How’s the saying go? It’s easier to fight for your principles then live up to them….

exactly: they are in fits on the SAPA forums but I’m pretty sure not one will quit.

SkyWest won't mandate the vaccine, mark my words.

when UA tells Skywest it wants all UAX pilots and flight attendants vaccinated, they will mandate it. Mark MY words. You don’t get a choice when you are a subcontractor

United doesn't have a monopoly on SkyWest. So no, they cannot tell SkyWest what to do, all they can do is "recommend". You should know better than that by now.

I understand now. Original post could’ve been worded better. Carry on.

you should know better. If it says United on the side, then yeah, United gets to set the rules. If you don’t like that, you’d better be planning to leave.

From the press release...”they are working with the regional companies and encouraging them to embrace the same policies”.

No, United doesn't get to set the rules on SkyWest's corporate policies, and you are on the wrong side of this argument. Funny you would post the bottom quote from the press release that clearly states "encouraging". Too damn funny.

I'm curious why you would think that SkyWest management would be so opposed to the requirement?

I'm guessing the flights into Canada, Mexico, and the Bahamas, are going to wind up requiring vaccinated crews, if they don't already.
