Come on guys/gals. This is impossible to determine, any answer is speculative. When you’re on property for a few years you’ll realize how dumb this question was, so I won’t give you too much slack over it. But seriously enough with the, “how long will I be on reserve out of XYZ”.

I agree. You either want to work for OO, or you don’t.. reserve could be 1 month or 8 years.. be ready for anything.. and if we ever fix reserve it could
go senior!! And you will be asking how long tell i can hold reserve!!!

Have someone who may be interested but I’m no longer in the regionals so I’m definitely out of touch here. So any information will be greatly appreciated.

Trying to get a good gouge on what’s happening with Skywest out in LAX. Are they expanding out there? Positive/negative trend? Also is there a plan for reserve life to be better contractually?

From the rumors, it’s most likely going to expand. I had no idea we were making deals with Alaska and American for a total of 28 175’s until it was announced by SkyWest. This company literally tells us nothing until it already happens. So asking these speculative questions gets annoying.

Rumor has it we've got 5 of the BOOM Jets for UA. SLC-based, of course (naturally.) Lots of high-credit standups to IDA and PSC that used to take :30 will now take just :03 flight time plus 1:03 walk time just to get from the SLC A terminal to the C hardstands. (If you've been through SLC at all recently, you know this is true.)

No worries, they’ll get that time back by having the FO call the van driver on short final while the captain’s flying.
All joke aside, I was given a couple of Stand-Ups while on CA reserve. I actually had an FA call me, while taxiing to the gate, to ask me if I called the van driver yet. I bursted out in laughter, fairly certain she hates me to this day for it.

I just want to know how livid the “others”, more appropriately referred to as the “Stand-Up crews” are for having to take the bus to the hard stands. That’s 5 extra minutes they’ll never get back god damnit!

I'm a hard-core vampire myself. Have done maybe 10 actual non-standup trips over the past 6-7 years. Every other trip has been a standup. It's the only way to fly. The crews are indeed..."special".
