Is it possible to request to change airframes if/when a job offer comes? I asked for the ERJ, but am beginning to think the CRJ makes more sense.

I think it depends. I don't think anything is set in stone until you begin class.
If classes are full you might be SOL. Although it may be possible to get on a waitlist,
so when other folks like yourself change their mind, spots may become available.
There has to be someone you can reach out to in the Training/Scheduling department about this. Good luck!

Your recruiter should be able to change your airframe, it will probably push your class date back though.

Total regional world newbie question, but can you regularly fly routes out of other bases or hubs or do you usually just fly routes out of your assigned base?

Trips will leave your base and return there, so a 2-4 day trip you might never be back to your home base but pass through other bases. No you don't bid for routes out of other bases unless for some reason there is an operational need and they deadhead you there. Granted I am not OO (August class) yet but this is how it was at Compass when I was there and how 121 world works.

Depends....at OO some trips will flow through other bases, some will be hub turns. For example ORD CRJ has UA/AA trips that just do turns out of ORD for the entire 1-4 days. Some UA trips flow through IAH/DEN/SFO/IAD, AA through PHX/DFW/LAX, and all DL through MSP/DTW and you don't see base again until go home day. This will vary by the plane/base/ and even month but generally there will be a mix of flow through other bases and trips that are just hub turns. You can also pick up out of other bases if that's your thing.
