A lot of cultures thousand of years older than this country recognize 5 or more genders. And a few of you are scared that you can't get a grip about people not fitting your narrow worldview. Remarkable how you want to be in a profession that you are likely to come across a lot of diversity.

Uh ok? So do we just ignore science at our own convenience now? Biologically you’re a man or a women, it’s not debatable, it’s not difficult to comprehend. If said person wants to change genders, whatever, I may question sanity, but I’ll never mock them for it.

That being said, it’s not acceptable to room a biological male with a biological female together because one decides they want to switch genders. If the two said individuals agree, then fine, but that still sets SkyWest up for a serious lawsuit so they better collect signatures from both.

Had a few questions, would love all feedback. Have my technical interview next Thursday, what would you all recommend for studying/preparation. I have the pdf which lists all the study materials/books and chapters. Am also going to use aviationinterview as they have been useful and accurate in the past.

Second, say the interview goes well. How long before a response and CJO? And would anyone know around which time frame for classes? Aug/Sept/Oct ? Later?

Thanks!

Sent you a PM with more details, but there wasn't anything covered on the technical that wasn't listed in the email. I didn't really read the recommended books, although I did look over the aviationinterview questions. You'd be very *very* well-prepared if you went over all those and the recommendations from the email. There weren't any HR questions unless you count talking to get to know each other before they started asking the real questions. The interview from start to finish was much less than an hour.

Be familiar with prog charts, metar/TAF codes, alternate requirements, and some systems stuff. I was asked to describe the difference between a volt and an amp, and completely drew a blank, but nailed everything else.

Use aviationinterviews, you’ll be good and knock it out the park. After technical interview CJO, comes in within 2 days or so. They have classes from August- Jan you can select from.

How long is it taking some of you to get the tech interview invite after submitting the on-demand video thing? I did mine a couple of weeks ago and got an invite less than 3 hours later and ended up being sick and couldn't make the interview so I had to reschedule (can't just reschedule, I had to redo it from the start). It's been a week since I redid it and haven't heard a thing. Kind of wishing I just sucked it up and dealt with my terrible coughing during it instead.

I’d definitely send a message to recruiting, so they don’t lose you in the shuffle.

Current first available CRJ class is 9/21. Can take up to 2 weeks to hear back but that's highly variable. Some hear the next day and some a week later.

Man already? Just yesterday I heard of 9/7. I shouldn't have put off my technical the few days I did, but I put my students first. Bummer.
