A cadet from 2019 will get a good choice in sim schedule, and 401k match at year 2 levels though. We would also get a leisure travel seniority date from 2019 as well if everything that we were told has not changed.
I am not sure if they mentioned anything else because its over two years ago for me now.

A 1 or 2 year cadet will immediately get the 4% 401 match, and will move on to each increase based on their cadet date. 6% at 5 year 1 day, 8% at 10 year 1 day, 10% at 15 year 1 day and if you're still here after 20 years 12% match.
A 1 year cadet will get the quarterly Performance rewards, while a 2 year cadet will also get the quarterly financial rewards if OO ever makes a profit.
Everybody gets the Pilot Profit sharing check based on the number of hours they credited in the half. Get hired on June 30th, you'll get about $5.00 on Sept 15th. If your class start date is July 1 or after you'll get a PPS check on March 15th. Even as an off the street hire.
NonRev travel benefits are based on your cadet date, and your class seniority will be much improved over an off the street hire, which means your monthly seat bidding seniority will also be better.

Thanks for the replies, I am in class now and was wondering what to expect on the first paycheck. There were some rumors going around that a cadets hourly rate would be paid based on their hire date, which I found hard to believe....

Negative ghostrider.
Although that would be nice, everyone gets 1st yr base training pay unless you’re getting the prior 121 pay year for year match.

Is 121 time less than a year prorated? What about time spent on furlough at another airline, does that count towards longevity too? Specific question, but curious if anyone has info

The pairings available are posted on the morning of the 10th for the following month and you go into what's called PBS to bid on the trips you want. the pairings are assigned based on your seniority in base and in seat. DEN CRJ CA seniority 1 gets awarded the trips he/she wants, then PBS assigns DEN DRJ CA seniority 2 his/her choices based on what's left and then down the line. Same thing with the FO's. Each seat and airplane and domicile has it's own seniority order and pairing package.
You'll have from 9:00AM Saint George UT time on the 10th to 9:00AM the 15th to bid for what you want. A soft schedule comes out usually the evening of the 17th, with a firm schedule posted to SKED+ (often referred to as Sked minus) on the 22nd at 8:00PM SGU time, when you can then try to drop, trade, post or pickup to/from "Open Time"
There are also monthly Transfer/transition/ upgrade awards with a Domicile Vacancy Report posted around the 20th, with awards given by the end of the month for moves or classes 30 days or so later. Those awards are based on your seniority, however transfers are usually awarded before upgrades/transitions as classes are not always available, so seniority does get trumped by seat qualification quite often. Break out the popcorn for the responses to this abrogation of seniority.

Every Month the flying schedule changes and you get to "Bid" on what Pairings you want to fly.

Just to add, this is “company seniority” which is based upon class date, or day you showed up on property. Now, within the class it’s cadets first, by date of cadet hire, then streetys. So cadets sit to the front. Everyone else back.
Additionally. You don’t wait thirty days for medical insurance. Eligible day one. Valuable to some.
I was a cadet and believe the two biggest benefits are the 401k 1y anniversary met via cadet time and non-rev travel benefit seniority from the cadet date. THAT will get you home sooner on a commute. Enjoy the feeling that the company is giving you something. It may soon feel opposite.
Week one indoc is on teams from your home. Then you travel. And you’ll do teams from the hotel room half day. Schoolhouse second half.

401k is huge!! Seems so simple to say. Na. I will wait tell i get to a Major for retirement.. but the best years are your young years!! Simple 4% match on 45k in 35 years will easily grow to $79,000.. Best advice i got back in my early 20’s was to max out my 401k... So glad i listened to that advice..
