ha ha. Don’t worry. The problem children fail the hogan and then go to southwest. It’s hilarious on the life after thread. “I failed the hogan and it was the best thing ever”. Right mate. You try and get hired, get shot down and then claim flying 737s for the rest of your life around pudunk America with red necks in the back is your dream job? I’ll wait and try to get some wide body flying to international destinations and not settle for a consolation prize of a runner up, second tier lower paid airline.

you might fly right up to the min guarantee and then they’ll cut you off to prevent you breaking it. Expect to sit LOTS of airport field standby also.

That might be the first correct statement you’ve ever made.

I just got a class date for August 31st on the ERJ. Just wondering what are the chance of getting a SEA base?

Probably unlikely right out of training. When did you interview?

I did my tech interview on Monday the 24th of this month. If that is the case, would I just have to keep bidding for a base move I assume?

You just put your bid in for SEA (or wherever) and it stays there.
When you’re senior enough to hold it, and there is an available slot in the base, it will be awarded to you.

It’s very simple, but it can take time.

Not only that but domino needs to realize different pilots have different priorities. Good on him if he wants the wide-body/international gig, but there are other pilots that treat this career as a “job.” I don’t care what I fly, who I fly or where I fly, I want to get the job done and go home to my wife and kids, that’s my top priority.

Those chasing happiness in their career might be disappointed.
