I would argue the repetition at a 121 doesn't get boring, especially compared to being a CFI. Maybe if you're at the Red Lion in Redding every trip.

You heard wrong. It’s not about regional pilots deserving anything, every pilot group deserves progression. This is not your generic flow, it’s a 90% flow down with 35 RJ’s going to RPA I believe, management will never consider it.
The good news is maybe OO management will consider having a flow with a potential legacy in the future (I’d assume UA) to stay competitive for hiring purposes.

Yeah, management says one thing, 6 months later they’re saying the opposite. My understanding is OO was offered a flow from UA in the past and turned it down, which is unfortunate for the pilots, but I can certainly see the conflict. All these programs are decided by people above our pay grades. I’m sure that answer was spot on, but who knows the stance a year from now.

I don't believe anything was offered to flow 'up" into UAL. But there was soft landings for UAL pilots, which was essentially preferencial hiring for them during the waves of furloughs 01-08'.

There is a requirement in the current CBA to hire furloughed United pilots, but there are triggers that have to be met. The furloughs have to go back to a certain date to and the regional has to be actually hiring. Neither requirement happened during this down cycle. United has remained very opposed to flow. They want to pick their own problem children, not inherit them.

Probably worthy to point out, that was a different UA management team. The new one seems more agenda driven to please the woke crowd, what could possibly go wrong.

There was talk of United flow in the past. The problem was United wanted to take 20-25 pilots a month and SkyWest management to let only 5 or so go. With such a limited number it wasn't worth pursuing the program.
You have to remember these flow programs are a way to staff regional flying, not mainline. SkyWest really hasn't had a problem attracting pilots. Some of these other airlines have.
