I could see hiding the lease to info for now so the demise of GJ is not made public until United gives the word. If end of 2020 is the target, that is a long time to operate with the announcement of a shut down and all the complications that come with that.
The investment bankers asked for clarification on the conference call. As for now the public consumption plan is that go jet will continue flying them under the same CPA with United but SkyWest owns the planes now. They didn’t specify gojet but go jet is the only 550 operator. I think if there are going to be specific gojet answers they are going to have to be clarified by gojet.

Savi Syth -- Raymond James -- Analyst

Okay. That's helpful. And then just the United partner you're subleasing to, is that different than the partner before? Because I just want to make sure that you to get comfortable that this is not like the 29 aircraft that you had and you only placed 13.

Wade Steel -- Chief Commercial Officer

So it is -- they are different airplanes. We did buy those, but it's to the same United Express regional partner.

Savi Syth -- Raymond James -- Analyst

Okay. But you're comfortable that they can take it this time?

Wade Steel -- Chief Commercial Officer

These aircraft are already flying there and have already been converted and in the 550 configuration, and they're already operating in their system today.

He does not say they are going to lease back to GJ he just says they bought them from GJ. I think there is still room for this to be temporary answer to cover for United so they do not give out info on GJ operations. As well he points out these ac they bought are operating today as 550's but no solid inference of a long term deal with GJ. Sort of double talk I think. A little tap dancing may bee?

"Let me shift gears to our leasing business. Today, we announced an agreement to acquire 21 used CRJ700s in a 50-seat configuration and lease the aircraft under a multiyear term to another regional operator. The aircraft purchases and leases are expected to be completed in Q4 of this year."

In the past during Skywest earnings calls, they do not mention specific companies. It has usually been “we will lease 5 CRJ900s to a 3rd party” or “we are leasing CRJ700s to a 3rd party.” They never specify. Don’t get too wrapped up in the fact that they didn’t disclose the 3rd party. They won’t say it and the facts will come to light in due time.

Also, SW is Southwest. OO is SkyWest. GoJet is G7.

Correction, WN is southwest (IATA). SWA is also southwest (ICAO).

Nothing has stopped them from doing that before from time to time. To my surprise, a 900 will go in and out of PLN just fine apparently. So it's always a possibility. I'm pretty sure every crew and passenger will be glad to see the 200 go, maybe everyone except Chip.

They can sell the planes that they have on property for cash and lease them and try to keep the company afloat a little while longer. Meanwhile Inc. is taking on the risk because if G7 goes belly up, then Inc is in a position to takeover that flying or lease those planes to another 3rd party.

Yep. They're already in a 550 configuration, so if GoJet flops then Air Wisconsin can do whatever to take them. Or even Mesa. Sounds like CC still has zero interest in actually operating them but there are still other options if GoJet can't.

20 additional 700s. Who has 20 extra 700s? Mesa. Interesting.

Dallas and Phoenix which, as I pointed out last week, is where a ton of transfers were awarded for December (in addition to the fact that both of these bases have been growing in general month nearly monthly).
