Based on the earnings call my interpretation was that these are airframes that are already on property at GJ. So seems like it is just further SKW ownership of GJ's fleet.

Any idea where the additional 700's are going for American? Are they going to replace Compass' 175's in LA or additional flights in DFW and ORD?

Ya. Sounds like GoJet needs cash. Sell OO there aircraft. Re-lease them from OO.. interesting deal.. No idea where the 20 will go. And i bet OO marketing doesn't even know yet. If i had to guess DFW and East. Unless LAX makes a big comeback. But with the AA/Alaska code share. I would put my money on them being more East then LAX..

This sheds some light on NH classes rumors. They will need to hire for these aircraft.. Not massive amounts. But i bet in March they bring all the “unfinished” pots back. And hire another 100~ to cover this flying..

What I really want to know if what the deal made was that enticed CC enough to help out G7 and in turn UA by taking the liability of those 550's! I really don't think that owning the planes was a good enough reason to swoop in right now.
There 100% is something else going on behind the scenes.

I did hear a rumor that AA was going to put a kibosh on bluestreak... but hopefully that's just a rumor...

Pshhhh, that's an old rumor... I don't think Dougie would close up shop for his old friend, but I'm probably wrong.

As far as the Gojet deal goes.. I don’t think any “behind the door” deals exist..SkyWest “leasing” needed to grow. They want that side of the business to exceed.. No hidden agendas...

Recap question:
The purchased 700s (550s?) are already flying and will continue to flying in their current situation?
The American 700s are already owned and coming out of long term storage?

Look at the awards. PHX and DFW both getting a surge in CRJ transfers, especially DFW. None to LAX and ORD. Couple that with the fact LAX still really hasn’t seen an increase all year, and the fact ORD guys are doing 900 DL trips starting/ending in ORD (all while MSP and DTW gets scraps, and heaps of VTO each month, and I’m sure those guys are upset they’re not getting trips they could have been working). So my guess is a majority to DFW and minority to PHX, and we’ll flow though LAX and ORD to supplement like they’ve been doing to us since the summer.

At the very least, I’m hoping a few of the soon-to-be 90 planes can be kept around as spares. The AA 700s have been working hard, and in these last few months I’ve had more mx delays and deferrals than I’ve seen in most of my time at this company. Nothing beats starting day 1 to see your assigned plane hasn’t even left for its first scheduled turn 4 hours ago, so now you’re waiting 4 hours to steal someone else’s plane once they do a tail swap. Not to mention planes coming out of long-term storage will have issues creep up. Wishful thinking, I know the planes need to operate to make money, but a guy can dream to have at least a spare in each AA hub we have a domicile in.
