as one of the sent-home-from-training guys, I really hope this holds true. 🤞🏼

Still doing part-time/VTO/CPTO so doubt that anyone will be finishing up until spring.

as an example I have heard back in post 9/11 days comair had a policy of requiring furloughed Delta pilots to rescind their seniority number to get hired, this position was supported by the pilots union. ASA did not have this requirement. When DL resumed hiring plenty of ASA folks got hired while not too many from comair got the call.
also this time around a huge number of furloughed pilots will have a type rating in either the 170 or CRJ. They will be a very low training risk

Agreed. Needs to come down from 140% of block hours to 100%. Not sure where all those pilots will go. And with a second wave just beginning on top of the first, we will now see the true dominos start to fall.

Here are some other rumors over the past several weeks.
- Big layoffs at HQs. Mostly out of recruiting and HR.
- Buying a whole bunch of CRJs as another regional is going out of business..
As far as not hiring Legacy pilots.. that certainly wasn't the case the last time around. New hire average flight times went way up. Plenty of turbine time and type ratings in the new hire classes. I was flying with a lot of pilots that had a lot more PIC turbine time than I did.

Remembering a post from 3 months ago is funny for you? Is taking interest in your career and advancement make you an "APC lifer" (whatever that is)? If so call me an APC lifer then. Despite all the crap on these boards (your post being a perfect example) there is a lot of good information posted which has helped me out since I was a naive student pilot.
