Default First-year FO pay.

What’s the MOST a first year FO can make?
I’ll be living at base (DTW).
I know base pay, but wondering what’s the most one can make, and maybe some examples.

The biggest difference will be if you are a line holder or reserve.

On reserve it's hard to pick up extra time and still be legal for your assigned shifts.

How hard are you willing to work?

If you are based somewhere with a ton of company OT it's easy to make money working 150% stand ups without breaking 117 limits. Anything you pick up on days off pays on top of reserve guarantee.

No, it's not. At least it hasn't been for me - at all. Especially if you build your reserve bid with picking up extra time in mind.

I made 60k before tax. Took home about 50. That was with 2 months of training pay, 8 months under the old TA (37.23/hour), and 2 months at 45/hour.

On reserve, I picked up on days off and would credit 104 a month. As a line holder, I would pick up incentive trips. I worked a lot, by choice, and credited 110-120 on average.

Downside: I might time out and have to bid reserve in a couple months.
Upside: I can afford everything I need to pay for. With the new TA, I don’t need work nearly as hard.

Yet I have read you complain about our OT pick-up system! You are the problem! You are the one picking up these trips.

You got me. I have single handedly caused all our OT problems by picking up at 150%. I can’t go on anymore. I’ll quit today.
