Our best hope for a raise is to move onwards and upwards. We ought not to await a raise to be handed to us (since we already know fully all too well that our management is doing everything in its power to hinder even an unremarkable rise in wages), but to strive individually by undertaking the initiative to procure employment at a better paying air-carrier. Attrition has picked up impressively lately. Many have also come to this conclusion and are updating their applications to get out.

I could cut and paste a post from 2007 and it would look exactly like this. Now, this wouldn't have been postable in, say, 2008-12, but aside from the Great Recession, what you've posted above has been the truth at every contract carrier since, well, ever.
As long as there are enough fresh 1500-hour CFIs lining up to interview, attrition can spike through the roof and the company won't raise pay one bit. And if you look at our attrition, it's actually been pretty stable over the past few years. As you know, we have *plenty* of lifers who aren't going *anywhere*, no matter what. And as for those who *say* they're trying to leave, maybe 30% of them actually put in the effort to go to a job fair, volunteer, become a CKA, etc.
This is how most of my conversations with SKW CA's go. It's nearly always one of the variants below:
Version A: The Lifer's Lifer
Me: "So, got your apps out?"
CA: "Me? Naw. I got a good schedule here. I'm not gonna go back to being an FO on reserve, I don't care how much they pay me."
Version B: The Lifeless Lifer
Me: "So, got your apps out?"
CA: "Yeah."
Me: "Going to any job fairs?"
CA: "Naw. They want me, they can call me." (If I had a dollar for every time I heard this, I could buy myself an RJ. Well, almost.)
Version C: The Hopeless Lifer
Me: "So, got your apps out?"
CA: "Naw."
Me: "You like it here?"
CA: "Well I barely graduated college, it took me six years, so what's the point? They'll never hire me anyways."
Version D: The Angry Lifer
Me: "So, got your apps out?"
CA: "Naw."
Me: "You like it here?"
CA: "Delta pilots are a bunch of **** *****. United's culture sucks. Southwest is just flying larger RJs on the same **** schedules and *** routes. American only hires flows and military. I'm just gonna stay here."
Version E: The MAGA Lifer
Me: "So, got your apps out?"
CA: "Yeah. Not that it matters."
Me: "Why not?"
CA: "Do I have a p***y? No. Is my skin black? No. Did I get some artsy-fartsy degree from some liberal arts college? No. Do I spend my weekends doing some BS volunteer work just to pop my resume to the top of some pile in some snowflake HR person's desk? No. ******* the majors." (This then turns into a rant about how he just flew with a 22-year-old African-American female FO who just got a slot at Delta, et cetera et cetera.)
Flame away, but I can't make this stuff up...

Not any time soon. Right now, nobody (No Delta Connection carrier) flies E170/E175s into ATL. Instead, Delta is putting Ejets into competitive markets like Seattle, and moving the CRJ7/900s into markets that don’t have a lot of competition.

I think part of it too is if we can’t replace pilots at the bottom we better keep the ones at the top regardless if they are a little more expensive.
