Absolutely not. The language does not grant any latitude for equivalent experience, and the FAA has confirmed this.

BTW, Living in COS is an option for being based in DEN...especially if you want to fly the CRJ in COS. ERJ likely won't be coming to COS very soon, if at all, and ERJ Captain in DEN would be "perma-reserve," as other SKYW folks upgrade above you. 6 year Captain pay but first year seniority means you'd (probably) be on reserve a while, but living in base makes reserve more bearable. We will see how our reserve improvements work out by then, also.
