So what do you guys use both a Flight Bag and Cooler for? Do you really take that much stuff with you, that you don't want to put in luggage? I presume, for the cooler, you guys just put small foods and drinks for a 3-4 day trip, to avoid airport prices?
I'm 135 now and making the jump over but carrying 3 bags seems like a pain. I could understand carrying a cooler with some drinks and food, to avoid paying airport prices, but I'm wondering if people really need a third bag; or if we really need to be carrying that much equipment and gear with us?

It also helps the per diem go further. Some guys eat exclusively out of their cooler when on the road, but I'm not that tight on cash and prefer to eat a few meals on the road.

I use a Telex 850 headset and am happy with it. ANR by simply plugging into the jacks and no batteries required. It also folds up somewhat "flat" and fits in it's own case nicely. It doesn't take up much room in my flight bag either. It's lightweight, durable, comfortable, and parts are cheap if anything breaks. In fact, all the Crew Outfitter stores carry Telex parts if you need something on the road. Best part is, they're about $450 brand new, are TSO certified, and come with a great warranty. You can find a used set on Craigslist or eBay for less if you look around a little. Change the ear pads and foam mic cover for about $30 and it's good as new.
