This thread is still alive? We should be paid more, but what we believe that we deserve is not what they will pay us, nor will they so long as adequate new blood is in the training pipeline. Anyone who wants more money or better QOL, get out. You won't receive what you desire here.

I'll link this article in CNN today for those who think $114k is well paid for flying a commercial airliner with 50+ souls onboard. http://money.cnn.com/2016/02/24/news/economy/trash-workers-high-pay/index.html

Note the $114K is for a trash truck driver in New York City. The article also says the national average for trash truck drivers/helpers is $40K. I have always heard the mob ran the trash business in NYC. Don't know how true it is. Sure seems different pay than the rest of America.

So your just worried about year 1 captain pay.. LOL ... you need to look at a whole span of 15 years working at the different airlines... thats how you compare how each airline would work out for you...

Yup. We are still sorely lacking. You can thank the 56%.

Supposedly our newhire numbers for July and August are below what was deemed desirable. Word of our hot, new pay rates must have leaked out....
