Just an FYI. I've been here and voted no. Everyone I was in class with that I spoke with voted no.
I think it's kind of a bad idea to stereotype. Lots of us young punks voted no. We can see the writing on the wall.
With massive growth and soft landings 2.0 it's likely I'm going to get bypassed for upgrade since my 91/135 PIC time doesn't count. Since I still need 1000 121 to upgrade I'm guessing this will happen in the next year or so.
That is if this "massive growth" actually does manifest itself.

Oh boy. Your asking for it. (You will get every answer but what you aked for) . Basically the same thing, a bigger bonus, more 401k, and 2% on current payrates..

Soft Landings: Four year FO at another airline? Come on over to Skywest! You'll stay at four year longevity, and management retains the option to wave the company time requirement and can upgrade you immediately to captain! Sure, company could already do the latter part, but newcomers would take a pay hit. Now they won't, so more incentive to switch.
Another scenario. Captains from other airlines switch over to take advantage of the 401k. Guess who's upgrade time just went up in this scenario? Could suck to be an FO.
First year pay: Adjustable without pilot group say. Since they don't need to bargain with the pilot group, to change it, pilot group loses leverage to have other changes made. SAPA apparently has say in it, but looking at this agreement, I doubt they'd put up a fight.
All that being said, things could go just fine. But regardless, the pay increase was still pitiful, especially with the 5 year agreement. If it had been shorter, it'd be easier to swallow.
Will be interesting to see what comes of this. Maybe management isn't just being greedy and have some magnificent plan that will benefit us all. I can only hope!

Well it's 2% this year (Jul 1) then 0% next year and 1% the remaining years. Astounding, but yeah, here's hoping for you newbies "fast" upgrade and call to the big leagues in 2-3 yrs.

Outsider looking in (don't worry I'm not coming back to skywest!!):
Did they (management) actually extend the softlandings thing to other airline guys coming to skywest???
I have an ex ACA/IndyAir buddy starting class with you guys next month. Would he actually get some benefit from this?

It's odd that of about the 20 people I have talked to a strong majority were all No votes. I'm interested why all these Yes voters are hard to find in conversation but it passes by 56%??
Some transparency would ease my mind a bit for these results.

Just saying a large portion over 50+% don't comment on Facebook or the forums, so...

Leaving out a few things that could come of this.

Either way terrible vote and I realize that the pilot group at least 56% of em it would seem are spineless company men.
If anything I do hope new hires realize this and go somewhere else where their future will be for the next 6 - 8 years anyways.
