What realy is dumb is people getting on here and saying. Enjoy your concessionary contract... they have know idea what there talking about. For me (and no i dont get the 10% yet. Almost) its about a 4% raise if you count the guaranteed bonus money.. but if you look at my 401k calculator before the TA. Then imput the new match and account few years when it jumps to 10%. Thats a extra 1mill in my retirement account at age 65.. (im in my 40's) . I ran into a super senior guy that only has 3 years left. He voted yes so the guys like me could get the better 401k. He said he will struggle at 65. Didn't plan very well. And yes for the junior guys to get a quick upgrade, and move on if they want.. I think it was the jr guys that sent it over the top.. they didn't want a 6-7 year upgrade..
if you are in your mid 40s why aren't you trying to move on?

Better turnout than some recent votes IIRC. I was actually surprised it was as high as it was.

If you're talking about the company...the consequences of getting caught would be very, very significant. Almost certainly an instant union, plus a lawsuit to recover back pay plus compensation for QOL issues. The plaintiffs could ask for the moon on the premise that such behavior had likely been ongoing. What if the award was $10Kper pilot per year, going back ten years? $$$$$$$$$$ Plus the BOD would fire senior leadership.

If you're talking about someone other than management...anythings possible, albeit unlikely. Might be a good idea to remove any temptation by publicizing the details of the system used, if for no other reason than to ensure confidence in the system.

But keep in mind many of the SAPA reps are not company men, and they certainly would dig into it if there was any hint of impropriety.

Pilots can go to endeavor and get 23000 a year bonus.

Other airlines will get big pay increases while skywest pilots are locked in to low wages for the next 5 years.

Pilots can go to Envoy and PSA and get bonuses and flows to American. They get none of that at Skywest.
Soft Landing 2.0

That was a key lynchpin of the company's agenda for this deal. Allows pilots from other airlines to switch to SKW and keep longevity when they realize how bad fill-in-the-blank regional sucks.

More importantly IMO, allows a smooth transition for junior pilots from failing regionals.

I fully expect SkyWest to start offering bonuses to all new pilots as well. Might not be this month, but soon. I think that's one of the reasons management was pushing this pay package a year early. It would of been a lot harder sell if every new pilot was already getting $10-20K.

Soft landings can pay out considerably more than any bonus out there. An easy $50K extra over the first 5 years if they've been in the industry for a while versus starting at year one rates. Frankly to me it seems a little odd as it creates a different groups of pilots making different pay compared to others at their same seniority. But here at SkyWest we've never held seniority as all that sacred.

The bonuses we get is the increase in PPS.

"Lifers" maybe accounted for 200-400 prople. Im guessing its more the Jr. FO's that passed it. (Regardless what they told you, on how they were voting on your 4 day together. They may have told you NO so you wouldn't have to talk about it all day).
