News on the new Skywest pay package
The economies of scale indicate that TSA has a lot less flights to spread their pilot cost around compared to Skywest.
How about the xjt contract highlights I posted?

First, you don't need an MBA to see industry and labor trends, and their impact on market forces. You just need to open your eyes.
Second, people aren't complaining about "everything" and "anything". We're trying to maximize our leverage to gain the most we can out of this agreement before getting locked in for the next 5 years. It's negotiating, not a hand out. Stop being so eager to jump on the FIRST offer.
Third, I'd guess the reason you've never seen anything like this in your previous career is that you weren't under collective bargaining in your prior career. This industry isn't like others, even though we don't have a union we negotiate as a group. This is how it works, contention is part of it.
Finally, STOP capitulating pay for growth and new airplanes. Stop conflating the two issues of pay and growth!!! They are independent issues. It's that mentality and thinking which perpetuates the **** pay we have in this industry. You are part of the problem!!!

OKC hanger has been in the works for over 2 years. DFW? First i have heard of that one... OO has been behind the power curve when it came to MX bases. They went with the mega hanger strategy. Now it seems they are moving to medium size hangers spread out..

Yea exactly. Thus is the reason for my comment on growth. In this day in age it does not pay to remain stagnant, especially if you are in the regional business. So, to throw high 5's around for this all fine and dandy if you want to sink your tires deeper into the mud while the race is still going on. But hey, who cares right? People employed by airlines should only think about the now, because that is where it is at. Because we know every single regional pilot who wants to fly for a major is going to get hired. Just a matter of time. Plenty of jobs for everyone!
And still constantly sarcastic. You'd have thought he would have learned to control himself after getting wrecked.
The thought that contracts buy airplanes has been proven false over and over. It's in the management playbook. Not good or bad, it's just a way for them to attempt to influence the negotiations, and I can understand that. If network thinks they need to get more jets......they are going to buy more jets
