Geez, this Mercyful Fate person needs to be removed from APC. She has not provided anything of value whatsoever. No facts, no information, no constructive discussion, just constant trolling alllll day long.

You know what I used to like about SkyW? We didn't b1tch and complain like every other regional. Now we sound just like the rest.

We have been just fine without a union and have had labor peace and growth.

If there ever was a union here, you'd all regret it. All lists would be merged and we'd just be miserable for 6 years waiting for a new crappy contract like the rest.

An argument was made that you may have more rights as at-will employees. I don't think many people had heard the counter argument so I took the opportunity to do so. I think that anytime you have a pay package to vote on that isn't top tier in the industry, you will inevitably get a union discussion going.

Lets not try to censor anyone because you don't like the topic. You simply don't have to respond.

Just ask the guy who was fired by BV recently without sapa even though policy dictates sapa's supposed to be there.

The reason you don't hear much is because SGU has censored communication through internal email, you have an EB that is all too happy to play nice and roll over, and not too many are willing to take on the David v Goliath role against the company.
I've made this point before. It's not just DD. I'm sure it happens every year to multiple pilots. And it doesn't even have to be as serious as being fired. How many pilots had a legitimate grievance that no one hears about? With a union, your grievance committee is your gateway. Nothing gets filtered or censored by management who has a vested interest in not letting any grievance information be know through the pilot group. If you did, there probably be more complaining from having your eyes open.

It has gotten thousands of pilots good pay and excellent QOL. My point though, that you obviously ignore, is that despite xjt losing HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, just since Skywest has owned it, they have given the pilots raises and a few improved work rules. Now they are offering retention and hiring bonuses. And they are currently working on more pay raises and work rule improvements. Again, despite losing money. So when you compare the xjt contract and continued improvements when it's losing money versus your pay package at an airline that has NEVER lost money, then maybe expectations are not where they should be?

I've long ago (when the xjt MEC rolled over 5 years ago), given up hope that there will ever be one list, which is the only thing I cared about. The union thing is simply because I genuinely feel you could do better with one.

You can go ahead and make this personal against me. But unless you feel that my opinion that you can do better is purely selfish, then so be it. I won't be making personal attacks on you though.
