Everyone is intitled to vote for whats best for them. A newhire vs a 5 year fo vs a 2 year captain vs a 10-20 year captain, all have different agendas...For me. The best action is a "yes" that get me Better schedule via growth. Maybe weekends off and all 700/900 trips. Thats a 6% raise just in flying the 700/900 .. but like even sapa said. This wont please everyone.. im aware of that.. Will find out july 1st..

There's no way this well of a managed company doesn't have a Plan B if the vote fails. Why would they risk new opportunities on one vote?
If you were a shareholder and were aware of new possibilities to grow the airline that all hinged on one and only one vote, and that vote failed... Wouldn't you be calling SGU in anger if they're want a Plan B?
This just doesn't make sense that there is only one offer drafted. And that offer still puts the company in a position to successfully expand. The accountants have had to already run the numbers for plan B.
If this expansion is so important and lucrative to the company, shame on them if they don't have a second offer for us already crafted/approved and just an Email 'send' away.
Unless they already know us better then we do... And know we'll take the first offer!

This.
Our agreements with our major partners already have COLAs built in. SGU pockets the extra couple percent and laughs all the way to the bank. They're smart. The house always wins in the end. Do you honestly believe Chip is going to face the stockholders, shrug, and tell them 'guess it didn't work'?
Look, I get the yes guys. I just have a hard time believing this used car salesman bullschwaz.

So, they say they can only bid on the RFP if they give you raises now but if they don't give you raises, they can't get 120 more airplanes (which drives average hourly rate per pilot down) and will let the contract go to term. Something sounds fishy.

This is time tested in this industry. SkyWest BOD are extremely conservative.. they dont want to be stuck with 100 money losing airplanes in 5 years. This just happened to Republic. They had to dump the Q's and 145's. But took bankruptcy to do that... Many airline in the past had to sign a deal to "survive" or "grow". The most historical is the Eagle 16 year contract.. back in the late 90's. Pass it our your done, and the jets go elsewhere..(i got caught up in that one) . Anyway. In this case they are not asking for a pay cut. They are offering a mid contract extension with raises to be able to forecast cost to get this flying...
