Nobody is disagreeing over the content of your "creed." It just goes to show you Skywest starts pumping the Koolaid directly into your veins on day 1...or in this case day 2. I wouldn't be surprised if subliminal messages were secretly playing over the loudspeakers, "unions are bad... you will work for less... you will do as you are told....you will never ask for a living wage.... you are the cheese between our toes.... you are a first officer!"

You want proper context? How many gold bars can you purchase with the big fat 0% increase they're offering up for all of 2018?
Want more proper context?
We haven't had an offer from the company that kept up with inflation for several decades now.

Last time the new hires were(people that didn't even work here yet), got the only decent increase.
The pay package before that only the EMB-120 guys got the a decent increase. Guess what, the Brazildos were gone shortly thereafter.

How can any of you keep justifying yes votes for pay offers that don't even keep up with(let alone ahead of), the COLA year after year? SkyWest is the largest most successful regional in the world, is a pay package that doesn't have us falling behind year after year too much to ask for?

Lots of wheels in motion, right now!

How were you able to pass your new hire drug test?

If the answer is we could lose out on growing the airline... That can't be the case or else SAN and BOI would have been held hostage over the first offer passing.

It's an easy 'no', not because I don't like the company, not because I do or do not like the 1st offer, it's because there has to be a second offer already drafted, waiting to be sent out.

To find out what it is... All we have to do is say no.

The second offer is like an alternate. Don't you want to know what the weather is at the alternate? I do.

Its pretty well clear in TT's email and sapa's that this growth opertunity is short lived. And pretty much the reason why we even have a TA, 2 years before our contract even expires.... They both (company and sappa) also say nothing will happen tell the current contract expires if we note "no" to this... so yes. We do know what happens. We wait tell end of 2018 to see what they offer then..
And no BOI/SAN are not tied to this vote...

They sent out the exact emails for the last agreement. They say this if for a flying opportunity, but they could keep the current agreement for 5 years and just say there is no money. There is nothing sapa could do, and they could keep the same pay rates.

So they will have to hurry up with plan B - if it isn't in a drawer somewhere already.

I have a hard time believing that we are making the difference here. I may be eating my words but it is worth the risk - at least for me.

Everyone is intitled to vote for whats best for them. A newhire vs a 5 year fo vs a 2 year captain vs a 10-20 year captain, all have different agendas...For me. The best action is a "yes" that get me Better schedule via growth. Maybe weekends off and all 700/900 trips. Thats a 6% raise just in flying the 700/900 .. but like even sapa said. This wont please everyone.. im aware of that.. Will find out july 1st..

But the growth is still coming. They aren't going to turn down a massive revenue source because the pilots turned down a contract.
