That sounds lovely and all except the company and SAPA won't reveal ANYTHING at stake here (yes I understand there are NDAs involved). Telling us "oh yeah there's a real chance for these things if this passes" gives me literally zero motivation to vote. Start revealing some details and they will likely find a lot of people more inclined to vote yes, myself included DEPENDING on what is at stake.
For me personally? Secure contracts that get me back to DFW or IAH and I'll likely vote yes. Would still like to see first year closer to the $38/ hr range but the PPS was a nice surprise.

really?.
Im not management..(I said i was voting yes.. if i was management, I wouldn't be able to vote...) and its funny how attacking some people are. I haven't said one derogatory comment about any "NO" voter... Just share my opinion on what i think... And every regional is taking pay cuts, if you you take inflation into account...
Where do you get the stuff???
Taking paycuts? like retention bonuses? The fact is that SAPA do not use any bonuses because it will show that Skywest is and will remain at the bottom when it comes to compensating the pilot group. Management has said that every other regional will go under within years ever time these insulting pay packages have been presented by their reprensentatives SAPA that do not represent the pilots. Get it clear that they represent the Company and is the tool that the company uses to inpose insulting pay proposals on you. None of the Regionals the company always told us would not survive is gone. On the contrary some of these companies are doing better than ever and they are paying a complete compensation that is much higher than Skywest. Again, Skywest is a great company and gains from having devoted fools that do not understand their value and how much they should be paid. I have been here for many many years now but I am aware that the company can and should pay us much better. I do the best I can for the company every minute I am at work and because of that I am very well aware what I should be paid and it is much higher. When smaller regionals can pay tremendous bonuses for new hires and retention bonuses to keep pilots and are in no way going under and at the same time you see Skywest buying airplanes like never before and expanding maintenance bases you know there is a huge amount of capital to take from. I have a master in Business Administration and the current cost level for the pilots at Skywest is very very low. The pay package proposal is a 1% per year increase during a 5 years period....that is all....that is the simple result if you look trough all the move of numbers they use to make it look better. It is the same insulting offer as last time in a total different enviroment and clearly states that they do not have any respect for the pilots. At this point, with the current pilot enviroment and how all other companies are adapting Skywest pay package is insulting and unaceptable. You are worth way more. Other companies are adapting and paying more because their pilot groups are fighting for it. Don't be a scabb, do your part and put Skywest in line, make them respect you and compensate you. They will not go under and no, you will not be without a job in 5 years because you got paid closer to what you are worth and tell SAPA to stop selling the pay package to the pilots. If SAPA would represent us the pilots intead of being a company tool they would come to the pilot group and say "here is what the company is saying they are willing to pay you, now...togheter with you pilots let's put together what you guys think we should be paid and respond the company with it". Instead they claim to negotiate behind close doors for months vote for the result 18/1 and then they try to sell it to the pilots like if it would be something great and uses the same old retoric, about growth opportunities, how now you get to upgrade faster, how with more bases and more airplanes if you accept you will gain and... bla bla bla. Look at the order they came out with the news about SAN and BOI, how they day after the mail with the package was sent. Pay attention to every step they take to fool you to accept something that will make them gain a lot by saving on paying what you are worth. It does not take many brain cells to see the picture.

Now, what would really be comedy gold is if somebody can video themselves reciting the Skywest creed in full uniform with their hat on. How does it go? I heard it was this:
"No one is more professional than I. I am a First Officer - a member of the flight crew whose purpose is to keep my passengers, crew, and airplane safe.
My decisions are the difference between life and death for both my passengers and my company.
I am the master of my emotions. No one controls my mood but me.
I will conduct myself to bring credit to myself, my Company and my profession at all times.
I will not compromise my integrity or safety for any reason.
I am a leader. I am a professional. I am a First Officer."

If you have issue with that paragraph you should honestly reflect on your attitude for a moment.

Perhaps the ATL and DFW bases and 120 airplanes rumors/leaks are management's way of getting the word out without officially stating it and violating NDAs. ATL base will need to open soon. It's obviously going to happen regardless of the TA vote. We have trips starting and ending with deadheads to ATL now from multiple bases.

What is there to lose by waiting to find out what the 2nd offer is? If the answer is 'nothing' then why wouldn't a person want to know this information?
If the answer is we could lose out on growing the airline... That can't be the case or else SAN and BOI would have been held hostage over the first offer passing.
It's an easy 'no', not because I don't like the company, not because I do or do not like the 1st offer, it's because there has to be a second offer already drafted, waiting to be sent out.
To find out what it is... All we have to do is say no.
The second offer is like an alternate. Don't you want to know what the weather is at the alternate? I do.

You might have, we definitely had to do this on day 2 where it's the leadership presentation from AK. Honestly I don't see too much wrong with that. Can't see how you can disagree with any sentence in it, or how reciting it once at the beginning of your career could hurt.
