What's funny is, all regional pilots blame everyone at a major or LCC for pulling up the ladder and giving away scope, but when they come back to say "hey, learn from our mistake and make sure you're paid what you're worth," they all scream to leave us alone and let us do what we want.
You have an excellent opportunity to get big raises. If the 120 planes is correct, it's already in the works and independent of this contract. Vote it down and they WILL be back because with the exception of Mesa, any airline trying to grow has come right back with a bigger and better offer. They need to recruit and they NEED to keep a union off property. If they even get the hint you are dissatisfied, they will start throwing money at you.

I'm certain you don't know how this works. Lame comeback.
I'm dummer after reading that. Allegiant matches my contribution 200% up to the first 5% of my pay. For those of you who suck at reading and comprehension, that means if I put in $100, they put in $200. And they will do this match up to 5% of my pay. Most of our pilots max out every year.

Company match 10K. Total 28K into your 401K.
100% @10%> 100K employee pretax> 18% 401K input=18K.

Your company 401K equals a regionals?
Your welcome.

I would tend to agree with him, too, and I am not management. I also want more airplanes, and we will only acquire more of them by staying as competitive as we possibly can in the following years after it is voted upon. My pay bump will be when I upgrade to captain, then go onto a major faster because we received more aircraft. You and your kin that will vote nay must recall that you are at a regional which has no problems whatsoever drawing new-hires unlike our competitors which pathetically had to introduce $30k sign-on bonuses to attract new blood. We are pulling this off because we really ARE better, which is why our competition despises us. The bids put on new flying are razor thin. Mesa and GoJet can easily undercut us by going lower. Stop asking for more money, because you aren't needed so much at SkyWest as you reckon. Get your time, upgrade, move on to a major and enjoy the massive paychecks there. VOTE YES.
Seriously, dude you work your a** off to get here and you're okay with a threat on a pay package that's below inflation? A pay package that doesn't make us a top regional, while Chip and the buds in SGU are racking in record profits and a very successful stock price?! WTF man.

I'm voting no until I see something on par with Horizons contract. Funny how the graphs don't include Horizon. Baffles me that anyone would vote yes a week after the contract they just got. Apparently you guys enjoy making low pay and believe SAPA that we are the most competitive.
Won't surprise me to see this new Mesa contract to be on par with us.

Now, what would really be comedy gold is if somebody can video themselves reciting the Skywest creed in full uniform with their hat on. How does it go? I heard it was this:
"No one is more professional than I. I am a First Officer - a member of the flight crew whose purpose is to keep my passengers, crew, and airplane safe.
My decisions are the difference between life and death for both my passengers and my company.
I am the master of my emotions. No one controls my mood but me.
I will conduct myself to bring credit to myself, my Company and my profession at all times.
I will not compromise my integrity or safety for any reason.
I am a leader. I am a professional. I am a First Officer."
