Hi All

I am planning on interviewing in late June. I am nearing 1300 hours. My hope is to get SEA or near to SEA asap.

I saw on the SkyWest pay thread there is talk about E175 having October class dates. I was originally planning on asking for E175 to get west sooner and hoping to avoid DTW because it is so far away. But will do what I have to do.

Any thoughts or recommendations appreciated

Take it with a grain of salt, but apparently the people who schedule the classes are saying that the E175 has a wait list until next year.

Based on the latest awards, 6 months from hire date. Keep in mind nothing is guaranteed in this business. If you were hired tomorrow and in class this month it would still be 2-3 months until you were done with training. Things can vary and it may no longer be six months by the time you can bid.

Hey all, yeah I know this is another one of those typical questions about base and reserve time, but I gotta ask, I want to work with you guys.

I'm an FO for another regional. I live and I'm based in ORD.

My company shorts me on pay constantly, tries to extend me without my consent, and I'm just tired of all our problems. I've always kept a positive attitude and worked with them but they never work with me.

I am considering making a switch to SkyWest. It seems like the quality of life you guys have over there is a lot better than ours.

I would very much like to be based in ORD since I already moved here for my current airline. Equipment doesn't matter but oh boy does the ERJ look pretty (I fly a CRJ).

Are you guys realistically hiring new FO's into ORD? How much is reserve time? How about upgrade time?

My long term plan is to move out to California since that's where I'm from and where I still have my best friends and family there. How far before I can transfer to a LAX base?

If any of y'all get a bonus for referrals or know a recruiter or are just a good soul what wants to help out another FO feel free to shoot me a private message and we'll talk!

Default Seniority in SEA

Is it likely a new hire FO can get the SEA base? If not, how long would it take?

Thanks,

ERJ new hires are all going to ORD currently. CRJ new hires are going to DTW currently. I'm a January ERJ hire, finished my IOE in April and currently bid ~55% in ORD. Only sat reserve one month, but I worked a lot (darn near got my 100hrs) and I don't even live in base.

I know 3 guys in my class who got their transfer to LAX next month so they were only in ORD for a few months. YMMV on this though, we all know how this goes.

I've heard upgrade on the ERJ is currently around 3ish years and the CRJ is some crazy low number (10 months is what I remember last hearing?) With all the rumored new flying and planes, I'd expect to see the ERJ upgrade number come down just a bit if it comes to fruition.

SkyWest is great company and so far I don't really have much to complain about. My whole career up to this point has been 135 so I've been blown away by the 121 experience and wondering what I've been doing with my life up until now.

I hope this helps and feel free to ask or PM me with any other questions you might have! Good luck!
