Not a fan of 27R. Relatively short, used even with low tailwinds, long taxi to the gate. The 900ER is definitely not a 700. Approach speeds 20+ Kts. faster. Landing weight as much as 35,000 pounds more than a 700, more than 10,000 pounds more than max TAKEOFF weight of a 400. It is not a short field airplane. Add a contaminated runway and it's a challenging landing. I feel bad for the crew. I can definately see how this happened.

If you're the only one using the last 1000', it may well be slicker than the rest of the runway.

True dat. Don't keep your speed up landing on 11 in KTN thinking you'll stop quickly to get off at A.

Emergency services were unable to reach the aircraft quickly due to icing conditions and reported, they can't move the aircraft as of current, the runway needed to be de-iced. A short time later emergency services were successful in pushing the aircraft back, the aircraft taxied to the apron on own power, the passengers disembarked normally at the gate.

Wonder what the NOTAMS were saying?
