Nicely done crew!

Passengers all have their bags in the video however....they obviously value their stuff over their and other people's lives

@georgetg
BA lost a 777 several years ago when they had 2 engines roll back due to a fuel/oil heat exchanger design that has since been fixed. So this is their second one...but both had no loss of life so good on BA!

Quote: "Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor said the plane's left engine caught fire."

...and...

"BA issued a statement which said the plane 'experienced a technical issue'..."

My guess is a non-contained turbine failure on the left engine sprayed debris to the left side and bottom of the fuselage and caused a fire which was pretty much contained within the baggage compartment.
