How nice. Another philanthropist and part time pilot type that usually puts in just enough hours to be destined for disaster in any conditions slightly outside the norm. Gawd forbid you throw in some weather and/or be current and adept in IFR. Throw in a plane that can compound these deficiencies and you get this result. Step right up and get a heaping helping of Disaster Stew!

This result has been proven time and time again to be caused by inexperience, negligence, and arrogance. It’s one thing to kill yourself as a result of one or all of the previously mentioned. It is inexcusable when you injure or kill innocent people at the same time.

This joyride to check out East Coast College’s cost 4 people their lives (2 were children on the ground). Father and son should have had their butts parked on a commercial flight for this little escapade.

I doubt very much that it will be classified as a "joy ride", however, that being said, the outcome is exactly what has happened a million times over. I wonder if the son was rated as a Pilot.
