For me, the problem was not that he hit a car. My problem with his flying was how low he was. That threshold is very displaced and he was on track to touchdown well before the threshold. I understand how you can get low sometimes when you are learning and you may get a little tunnel vision, but he was way too low.
If he was at the solo cross country phase of training, he should have been able to tell the difference between a normal approach and one that will make you touchdown 300 feet before the threshold. Maybe if this was his first solo I would understand, but he already had experience flying solo so the “OMG, I am all by myself” feeling should have worn off. Any solo student pilot should be bale to land between the threshold and half way down the runway. The fact that he was well outside of that range makes me think he was purposefully bringing it in low.

The other odd thing is that it appears he cuts the throttle just before impact and you can see he has to increase his angle of attack quickly. Just seems odd to me since he was already low and not even over the threshold. Rookie reaction maybe cutting the throttle suddenly seeing the car instead of trying to go around?

My .02
he was very low - perhaps forgetting about the displaced threshold (I can't remember if he'd been there before and am too lazy to re-read the thread)
he was distracted by wanting to put on a good show for the video
perhaps he was fixated on the far end of the runway, landings improve when looking at the departure end, and not just over the nose.
The blame lies 50/50. Car for not obeying signage, pilot for "dragging it in". Maybe there's a 15% extra for the poor signage.
