Alright guys, my wife works in the media and the info about my flying experience on the Airbus leaked quickly among her co-workers. I received several phone calls for interviews early early tomorrow morning. I am not going to do it for personal reasons. Looking for someone type rated. A truly incredible job, and an example of why everyone needs to have their a-game ready every time they strap in.
Several people have mentioned the CAL accident, but this is actually the third accident in 12 months that should have resulted in fatalities, but didnt: This one, CAL, and the BA 777 at LHR last January.

But yes, I wish the media would lay off, and not just this CA. The reporter crowd around that one passenger, and the way they bombarded him with questions just moments after he got out of the plane, was maddening. Maybe he drew the crowd somewhat, but still...
Again, kudos to the entire crew, just an amazing job!

Right now, I can't ponder the dynamic imbalances created by Tweety and his feathered friends trashing blades spinning upwards of 18,000 rpm in the core of the IAE or CFM.
I'm just grateful to a higher power, airline emergency training and fantastic airmanship...

Great job USAirways crew! Sure is a good day to be a pilot....I don't think I've ever seen so many people praise "THE" pilot on TV before.
It really is too bad the FO didn't do anything, however. Lazy bastard. Probably couldn't even swim.
