She looks like its sunk a good bit from earlier, the FDNY boat is giving it a hard time moving it. That wing is high now. Oh, its floating on its own again.

Some birds fly in flocks (ie geese). It's not improbable at all if you consider the amount of traffic at low level near airports...more like inevitable.

Skywest had a double birdstrike in SLC two years ago on an RJ...one engine totally destroyed, the other damaged beyond repair but they kept it turning long enough to do a quick RTB. Turned out was a mated pair of some large owl species.

Ryanair had a 737 lose both engines due to bird ingestion just a couple of months ago. Flew through a flock of birds on short final into Rome.

Yukla 27, USAF B-707, AWACS crashed after takeoff at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage AK after hitting a flock of Canadian Geese and losing all 4 engines, all aboard perished. Birds, especially those big ones are dangerous.

Why don't you let the black box figure that out and until then stop speculating and realize that no matter what, these pilots dead sticked a plane into the hudson river and not one person was killed.
