"The good news is the FAA raised the retirement age so you've now got pilots 67, 68 years old flying these planes. Just immense experience kept this plane intact."

I saw a ticker thing on CNN...went something like "Govt. official says two of the plane's engines flamed out."

Think about it.

Then rub your forehead and change the channel...

Whew, its a good thing all of them didn't flame out. Then it would have been even worse

Default Hydraulics?

Never flown an Airbus. Would these guys have been in manual reversion, or did they have hydraulics? Anyone?

Default Great Job done

Thanks to god that they pulled it off. I hope everyone is Ok

I read a blog comparing debating pilot pay with that of doctor. The feeling was that doctors earn there money more than we do. The point was we as a profession do not make what we are worth. After this you may want to rethink that. These guys saved themselves and 135+ people, an admirable record for any doctor.

A better arguement would be a ships captain to airline pilot, but what ships captain or doctor for that matter has 3 minutes to save the lives of 135 people.

All I can say is well done. We as a pprofession make a huge difference. Not everyone can train a monkey to do what we do. Results matter.

I hope we see these guys standing tall and honored for their good work

God Bless them and their families

Just listened to Parker speak on the incident. Worthless POS, didn't say good job to the crew or anything.
