QX2059 Jumpseater tries to shutdown engines
#511
By taking illegal drugs and trying to kill the engines on a loaded passenger jet in flight, this dude has earned the right to NEVER hold another green FAA card in his wallet EVER again. He has no business in any restricted area of any airport. You reap what you sow, and actions have consequences.
Many of my friends died in shoot-downs, suicides, CFIT, aircraft failing apart in flight, and automobile/motorcycle accidents. I never thought of getting high on illegal drugs, boarding an aircraft full of people, and trying to kill the engines on said aircraft because I was grieving.
That stated, I don’t think he should spend the rest of his life in jail. Lengthy probation including substance monitoring, expensive fines, and community service should suffice.

Also while it sucks for Joe, an example has to be set.
