Says a guy with absolutely no skin in the game. Great contribution.
Anyway, im at RAH and enjoy it. I'm home based, have a line, and enjoy the airplane, crews, overnights, and overall qol. I know a guy at commutair who feel the same way, perhaps maybe minus the more regional like route structure. You have to put the two side by side and make a pro and cons list. Then decide. Don't let people online tell you what to do. Above is an example of a guy who had no intention of helping you and couldn't careless about how such a decision will affect your life, but he gave you his biased opinion nonetheless.

Which has the faster upgrade? How long is the upgrade at Republic these days? Does Republic have a flow-through agreement like Commutair? These are key considerations these days: upgrade time and flow-through agreements.

1. Does RAH do AQP? What about C5? (Great thread btw.... i'm also in btw decisions).
2. Has anyone compare pay btw C5 & RAH? 2nd yr Capt @ C5 to a 2nd yr FO @ RAH...
3. Has RAH upgrade dropped to 3yrs yet? Any updated projections?

Commutair doesn't have a flow...it's a guaranteed interview AFTER you complete their training but ONLY IF you passed the Hogan assessment test.
Good grief. Call it what it is!
Only regionals with "flow" are the AA wholy owned. Period.
Oh and RAH is all AQP and upgrade is right at about 4 years as of now. It hasn't dropped yet, but better than it was two years ago when it was 6 years.

Things I like about C5.
-Quick upgrade
-United CPP
-Commuter policy is great. List your self on two flights. If you don't make it. No harm. Unlimited as well.
-Reserve is short
-4 hotels a month if you're commuter
-6 hotels If your stand up
Things I like about RAH
-Equipment
-EFBs
-Cooler routes
-Bigger Bonus
Leaning more towards C5... Yeah it's an ERJ 145XR but really it's not what we fly now that matters. Flying a 175 won't get you to mainline faster than someone flying a BE1900. (Okay maybe if you're Great Mistakes you have no chance). But you get the point. Commuting from MCO-IAD can be a ugly sometimes... But with the C5 commuter policy I think it will make it less stressful and less time in crash pad. I think good things are in store for the future of commut air. Growth is good. But can also be bad.

You do realize that there are many ex-lakers that have gone direct to United, Alaska and American right? All very recently too... Not to mention they now have a flow to Frontier. I'm not at lakes, but there's nothing there holding them back from mainline...
That's all I had to add, good luck with yalls decision.
