Can't understand the logic of going to a company that just entered ch 11.
Management always says in these situations we won't shrink...much and everything will be fine.
Every single regional airline ch 11 IN THE last 15 years has resulted with a 50% cut in fleet size.

Have you considered Expressjet for a Newark base? Ask yourself this question: "why was Republic so expeditious while CommutAir has not gotten around to calling me yet". Might help you in your decision-making. Good luck.

I would definitely be at C5 vs RAH at the current moment. C5 is small, United interview now and will upgrade pretty damn quick as they are growing.
Who knows what is going to happen to RAH. They could easily lose tons of flying and close EWR when they get out of this mess. C5 isn't going anywhere for awhile.

It makes no sense at all. Living in base, maybe you have a case but not when that base is in the NY area and there are multiple regionals within driving distance. It is like volunteering for career stagnation. Who does that?

Congrats on your interview. Study the gouge on airlinepilotinterviews.com and you'll be fine. If you want EWR for a base, you will get it right out of training. The haters will say otherwise, but we are not losing EWR. We are expanding our United operation pretty substantially. EWR is growing and there are some pretty solid rumors of IAH and CLT opening up soon as well. We are continuing to hire (more than most regionals) and upgrade as well (56 upgrades in today's vacancy). Bankruptcy had been used to get rid of the 145's (they're history in Sept) and the Q's (already gone). New contract from Delta is already settled and from the sounds of things AA and United should be settled within the next two weeks. Good luck with your interview, PM me if you have any other questions.
