My wife just got hired at Republic. Does anyone know what hotel they use in St Louis during training? She likes to eat healthy and it looks like all they have around FlightSafety is Waffle House and Jack in the Box. She is hoping they put her up somewhere with more options! Do you get days off during training (enough to go home for 2 days occasionally?)

I think they will put her in the Holiday inn next to the airport. The van should be able to take her to the grocery store and there are mini fridges inside the rooms. If she feels like splurging there's a Mexican restaurant across the street that's pretty good. I don't remember how many days off new hires get.

Thanks for the info on the hotel...that sounds good enough.
Regarding the interview, there was a 20 question timed test given on an iPad. There was also an oral that had questions about class A airspace, holding airspeeds, and metar/TAF interpretation to include remarks. Then there was the basic HR interview. Very comfortable and professional folks. No sim...no IQ test.

Overall, really enjoyed the process, and if any one has any other questions, feel free to PM me.

I interviewed on Thursday and can vouch for this. I was also asked what the touchdown zone was defined as and a Jepp plate brief. Talking to others in my interview group, they used different plates between the multiple interviewers. No curve balls though, pretty straight forward plate.

We don't really have too many details on the United deal, but what we do know is we have delayed deliveries but they will be arriving in 2017.
Anyone with questions, feel free to PM.

Only been at Republic a year and love it. Never sat reserve at all and average 17-18 days off a month. Been flying with lots of guys going to Delta recently.
I have just below 2500 hours and have already gotten interview calls from allegiant and Kalitta. I'd say that's decent for my experience and can only expect better is yet to come. Don't know why people think it's stagnant here....
