I just feel bad for any FO that's at republic right now. Getting rid of all 145, and Qs and now 23 e170s. Not taking a large portion of their united E-175 deliveries. This is going to add years to their upgrade time.

Thats part of the BK process. Unfortunately RAH is late at the BK game. It won't be pretty...

It's not all rainbows and unicorns here but statements like this serve no useful purpose as they are simply uninformed.

Anyone who says this doesn't understand what is REALLY happening at RAH or hasn't been following the numerous threads about this ad naseum. It's simply ignorance.

I agree with you. How could this be good for anyone at Republic? Sounds like a really bad thing.

Vacancy out today has another 20+ captain vacancies, which makes for almost 100 upgrades in the last three months. Add to that the massive captain attrition, and the upgrades should continue indefinitely. Again, no gold plated rainbows here, but it could be much worse.

So the last few times I went through LGA there were a vast number of flight cancellations on the board with great weather. Was poking around the RP crew lounge and asked about this. The pilots there said that RP has been having a hell of a time staffing their aircraft. More so than most airlines. On our flight out we had a jump seater. A RP CA. He said they just sent him home on day 2 of his 4 day because they had no FO to do the remainder of the flying.
My point in this story is that I was under the impression that RP was severely understaffed with pilots thus resulting in cancellations which allegedly was the straw that broke the camels back in filing CH11.
These A/C were un-staffable from what I understand. I certainly hope no one is losing their job however.
And someone said something about no one wanting to fly old beat up A/C. Were you born in 1999 or something? Good grief. Try flying XJT aircraft. They're like flying someones old jock strap around. With some speed tape around the grundle area to assist in chafing.

Considering all but about 15 aircraft are already sitting idle, and we're still understaffed for what we're currently flying, Id say he's pretty spot on.
