What happened with Pinnacle will happen to Republic. UA and AA will be SCREWED and delta gets the planes, lift, while UA and AA lose the lift. Pure genius by Delta Accounting.

Not really much of a problem. S5 planes and pilots could easily be sold off to a separate entity. The IBT would whine and moan for a bit, maybe file a lawsuit or two, then capitulate ten years later once they realize they've been wanked again.
