And on that note, rjet, their shareholders and even some lienholders have also objected to deltas DIP terms. Rjet wants to have deltas terms dismissed in court tomorrow and seek funding from other sources, the filing said. Tomorrow will be quite interesting.

Oh I don't know, maybe because they're flying the 75/76 now and have no interest?

True. But, Aptechguy made it sound like Delta didn't have the resources and that that would be the motivation to acquire Shuttle. Delta does have the resources. For them, it then becomes a matter of pay scales. Fences and acquisitions such as he's proposing would be far more difficult to implement than motivating the existing resources to take the job.

From what my feeble-minded eyes can read within the numerous redacted filings online, one of the biggest things delta wants are 12 DC slots and 15 LGA slots. These are valuable assets that I would opine that delta wants to use their mainline Boeing RJs to fly.

Just be careful Bedford. This is where ATL either gets their way or they take their ball and go home.

Delta is ordering the C series.

Big Delta order for Bombardier jets, likely next week, will be thorn in Boeing's side - Puget Sound Business Journal

What will be the likely agenda-topping discussion today will be whether Judge Lane Sustains or Overrules an Objection filed by the assistant US attorney. The government says that Delta is seeking to go above the law with it's DIP by removing any Delta liabilities that may come of Republic's operations after the DIP approval. They also want Republic to ONLY spend the 75MIL strictly to how Delta orders them to spend it; which by their terms would be tantamount to giving it back to Delta in various forms including nearly 30 slots. US Gov't called BS on daddy Dixie.

I'm sure Delta has a plan B and C but like someone else posted, no money on the table from American or United? Republic owns those slots?

Per a BB letter this evening, both the US Attorney's office and the Unsecured Creditors Committee dropped their objections against the delta deal and instead supported it. The only objection to deal that remains is from the ad hoc creditors. The judge said he will have a ruling early next week. I'd say at this point the delta deal has a good chance of being approved.
