In your hypothetical world at the pilots merged into Deltas list? If not their scope won't allow it. And why would they want to accept a bunch of pilots they haven't vetted themselves. Highly unlikely, but I suppose there have been some strange things that have happened in this industry.

Looks like Delta canceled the E190 purchase anyway.

Is there a recent article stating that? I know they initially cancelled the orders when the pilot group shot down the recent TA but as far as I knew thise orders were reinstated

Also, a regional-mainline merger will never happen period, Delta would risk financial destruction doing that, especially since the pilots are in the middle of contract talks. Almost immediately too, the Shuttle pilots would be moving to bigger aircraft, entirely negating the reason for it instantly.

Do you know how many regional pilot groups have come up with this idea? First Compass, then Endeavor and now Shuttle. Won't happen and they don't need shuttle to staff 20 airplanes but again 190s are dead it sounds like. Lots of pilots in the system who were working on the project were sent home recently.

You're forgetting that Delta already has hundreds of pilots already on property who are already typed in the E-170/5 and E-190/5, who all have thousands of hours of PIC time in type and bunches with LCA/APD experience in type. Why would they need to get that from Shuttle?
