Lol dream on. Cheap reliable feed. Why would delta go with a more expensive option? Everyone touts how much Endeavor pilots make. Where do you think this money comes from? You think Endeavor has somehow crowned the favorite among Delta but forget Comair was once blessed with that title. Also what airline, Endeavor or Compass, has sent more pilots to class at Delta over the last 2 years? What airline has better customer satisfaction ratings? What airline doesn't have to offer retention bonuses in order to staff (actually over staff)?
Give me a single solid business reason why Endeavor would get planes from Compass.

You don't know how finances work. As a wholly owned Endeavor is a liability that shows up on Delta's books. Delta is responsible for Endeavor pilots' healthcare, benefits, unemployment insurance, ect. The only reason Delta even has a wholly owned is because they acquired it for roughly the cost of a 737.
Other carriers apear as a fixed cost. This gives Delta the flexibility to modify route structures (i.e. number of departures) at a known rate. They don't have to worry about staffing, training the pilots, conducting proving runs with a new fleet type, etc.
Furthermore, every connection carrier that Delta partners with is flying under fee per departure contracts. This means Delta owns the seats no matter what carrier is flying the plane. Delta decides what to charge the passenger for the seat. Whether it is Compass or Endeavor makes no difference. Look at the seats as "wholly owned". Thats what is generating the revenue so isn't that the only thing that matters anyway?
With all of that said let's now compare the two. Compass is a cheaper known cost with no staffing issues compared to Endeavor which is a more expensive variable cost that needs to offer bonuses to get pilots through the door and keep them there.
Why, again, would Delta move the planes from Compass to Endeavor?

Endeavor's sole selling point is flexibility. That's our single value.
Lets not try to act like something we aren't. Yes we perform great, but the ability to move airplanes and spool up or down flying as the market permits is our sole reason for existence.
Profit center....lord.
