Well, you win. That is the dumbest thing that I have read all day.

Okay, and your reasoning? You'd rather be a part of a flow than have a job offer from a company? Why? How many people have you known that have flowed to a Major? And how many people do you know that have interviewed, gotten an offer and accepted employment?

Dude get a new accountant, or stop using Turbo tax. I doubt you're a real Endeavor pilot as the company sent information that details how taxes are withheld, and when paid out they are not withheld at that level. My accountant tells me will get a substantial portion of what the company withheld back when I file.

Take it from someone who has received that bonus this statement is not true.

Bonuses are earned income and as such taxed at your regular rate. It's possible the guy has a spouse that bumps them into the 40% tax bracket.

"You should not accept anymore money for the same amount of work because you will actually make less money"...

Said no tax adviser ever.

I'm curious were you see the distinction between what the Compass flow pilots had vs. those who passed the SSP have. Outside of the metering and hold back language, they all flow to Delta with no further interviews required.

Now that the Compass flow is done, the Endeavor pilots will take up even more of the slots. On top of that, if Delta were to furlough, all of the Compass jobs, minus ~5, can be taken over by furloughed Delta pilots.

For those of us in the AMT territory that's actually kinda true. It sucks.

BUT, for most it's an accurate statement.

IND is a relatively stable base. It's also slightly more senior - plan on a couple of months somewhere else to be safe.
