Kind of like Envoy.

Might want to actually check your facts before you go spouting out complete non-sense.

PIT is probably one of the most secure bases in the entire network. It has been a major maintenance base since 2006, which is when it also became a pilot base. Hardly "just a few years old". In fact that is nearly a quarter of republics time in existence.

In that ten year time frame, the maintenance facility has nearly tripled in size and the pilot/FA pool has more than doubled.
It is the main acceptance base for new E175's and republic is the largest carrier in terms of operations at the airport with over 21% of the operations...

PDT would be an easier commute, Compass just looks like it's a more stable place to be until I'm able to jump up to an LCC or major.

I would seriously make sure you know everything you can about RAH before making that move. Yes, they have a new contract and things seem better. However, IMHO they may file Chapter 11 and dump all the 145's since they can't staff. This would lead to longer and longer upgrades and downsizing.

On top of all of this, Pittsburgh is giving such a big tax break to RAH that it makes it even harder for them to leave.

Let's see, since 2012.

Closed. LAX, SJU, JFK, LGA, MIA.

Don't know the exact year but believe it was 2010. BOS.

5 bases closed in less than 4 years. 6 closed in the last 6.

Company wants to re-open a "satellite" in MIA now to help cover their premature move yanking Envoy to "help" cover while RAH gets up to speed.

How is this not knowing what I'm talking about?

Why Republic Airways (RJET) Stock is Tanking Today - TheStreet

Maybe this will help sway you. Things are NOT looking good for the future of Republic. You don't want to be at the bottom of the seniority list with an airline that is "restructuring"...they haven't YET declared bankruptcy but the writing is on the wall. Stick it out where you are because it's better to be employed and have to commute than being out of work and wishing you wouldn't have made the move.

Every other regional is hiring right now. Republic is the last place I'd go.

1.Skywest/Endeavor ....hands down take the top slots and the reason it's a tie is depending on where you live. Skywest for west coast and endeavor for east coast

2. Air-Wisconsin-great contract good work rules great guys

3. Compass -good contract and work rules slowing upgrade and no news of growing fleet....yet..also bunch of younger great guys to hangout with for 4 days

4. Expressjet- Awesome contract some cool things in there to really capitalize on making money but you have to work the contract and awesome awesome guys who will stick there neck out for you!

5. Commute air new equipment and upgrade dropping

6. Envoy
Slow upgrade but good contract and flow more of your southern crowd great guys always willing to help

7. PSA
Flow not sure the upgrade time now...but it was quick

8. Republic
Good pay not sure the rules but most aren't happy with the work rules and all

9. Mesa
Low pay crappy work rules a greedy CEO good guys there upgrade isn't to long mix of west and east coast bases

10. gojets
Sad work rules some good guy there but low pay and moral

That's about all I have and its my opinion. Chime in if you feel different trying to put it straight for the new ones coming in
