this seems to be a common misconception about compass. there is no flow program(ended 5 years ago) and there is no guaranteed or even preferential interview at delta nor are they owned by them.

Per one of the Republic VPs at a recent indoc meet & greet, flow is being talked about but has a few major obstacles to overcome. One of those is that the legacies want pilots flowing to their airline to have ONLY flown feed for THAT airline throughout their entire employment at RAH. That's quite tough to arrange at a non-WO.
That being said, recruiters at RAH have seen the applications more than double since the contact passing. One of my classmate's friends applied, interviewed, and then learned the day after the contract passed that they were turned down due to a checkride failure. The recruiter stated that they are planning to be more selective given the volume of applications. The airline is certifying 35 additional check airmen (17 currently on property), and plans to run large classes through the first half of 2016. Most of the people in those classes are/will be transfers from S5, but even the new hire population has ticked up noticeably.

You are correct though, NWA did create Compass from the remnants of the Independence Air certificate. Delta sold CP to Hulas the same day they sold Mesaba to Pinnacle Corp in 2010.

Management blew a lot of smoke up my ass when I was in indoc too.

What else would they say? That they don't have the cash to follow through on the new contract without meaningful restructuring with the mainline partners? That they could still be headed to Bankruptcy court?

As they always will. But I crossed paths in the halls/hotel with the check airmen, and the steel framing is nearly completed on a new training center twice the size of the existing one. So while I agree many things can change and that management doesn't always get it right, the factual statements (LCAs, training center, recruiting selectivity) in my previous post aren't hearsay. I saw them happening.
