Republic new hire
So I have a class date in October for Republic. I understand there are A LOT of issues going on between the pilots and management over the proposed contract. Is this a contract that could potentially be resolved in a reasonable amount of time? If not and bankruptcy is a possibility what would that do to a new hire?
I'm also thinking that if the contract is resolved and Republic is one of the higher paid regionals pilots will apply and make my seniority number much better in a short period of time.
What are you thoughts on this? no need for sarcasm. I'm trying to be better educated and make good choices for my family.

I see what you're saying, and I'd personally be asking the same questions if I were in your shoes. The short answer is it is a pure gamble. Rah management has made no effort to bargain in good faith for 8 years. If they magically started, rah could be a great place to work. It's always best to be at the front of their line. However, I put those chances somewhere between 0 and 0.
