I think if compare the earnings of a RAH pilot over two years to that of a PSA pilot, the PSA pilot will be at least that far ahead, and closer to upgrade besides.

I also went there thinking that the place will grow, and I'll advance in seniority fast. It's kinda hard to do when they Park airplanes. It's also a crappy feeling going to work when you feel abused. Life outside of RAH are better than most RAH pilots realize.

+1 here. I would work anywhere before going here. They had their chance to be a good employer. They chose instead to treat employees as a liability and to be hostile toward them. If Republic is your only choice, you are better off going to prison. You will make just as much money and get more sleep.

I could never decide who to hate more, Bedford or Cohen... I think they may be the same person... Bedford just gets a quick spray tan and voilą!

1. No cancellation pay. Mild winter, yet many pilots I know in PIT, have lost 10-20 hours for Feb alone.
2. Line guarantee gets adjusted down every time you swap a trip. For example, if you swap an 18 hr, 4-day for a 22 hr, 4-day, from open time, your new line guarantee is 75-18 = 57 hrs.
3. TA negotiations are going at a snail's pace, minimum 2-3 years at current pace before we have a TA.
If I was starting out today I would pick PSA, Compass, TSA, Mesa before RAH.
By the time a TA is signed, it will be too late.....RAH will be shrinking rapidly, giving up airplanes because they wont be able to staff, there wont be enough suckers who will be willing to fly right seat at rates that are second from the bottom in the regional industry.
Im even re-considering going back to corporate flying, anything to get out of RAH. They lost 35 guys last month. Once hiring at LCCs/majors really picks up............
