Most of the people still leaving RAH are still senior to me. (2008 hire, same class as SeattlePilot.) I just got a 145 left seat award. there's churn at the bottom of the list for sure, but there are captains bailing for greener pastures.

Company and union both spouting rumors of a TA by the end of this month. We'll see. WH leaving may act as life support for a while. The only way this place is around in 5 years is a serious shift in the way they operate. Basing (time to re-think that), pay, QOL, all of it. No flow is really going to hinder recruitment as well.

That's the problem with RAH, there is literally nothing to offer a potential new hire pilot at this point in time, other than maybe a desirable base in the applicants home town, but even that is no sure thing with the speed at which RAH has historically opened and closed bases.

So, RAH management wants to hammer out a contract and be done with it this month!? Hard to believe since pilots seem to be ok with allowing their current contract to be amendable for the last 8 years! But OK.

What could RAH offer though to make it the new premier place to be? There is no flow. There is no quick upgrade. There is no money or subsidies from a mainline owner that you would get as a wholly owned.

Are we about to see something new and exciting or ??

The recruiters really love to dangle pictures of C-series jets on all the promotional material to try and lure fresh meat. They are literally counting on SJS to keep this place alive. Once you sign two years of your life away for the hiring bonus, the company realy doesn't give two ****s about you. You're Crew scheduling's *****.

This will sum up your time at RAH on reserve, so god bless.

Are you aware that we did not begin negotiating this month? I'm not saying they will finish it this month, but at the rate things are moving, it is within the realm of possibility.

We are NOT okay with the 8-year timeline. You are seriously disconnected from the way collective bargaining works and how the pilot group at RAH feels about how long it has taken to get a new CBA.

But you've done literally nothing about it. One could mistakenly believe that you accept the status quo as unchangeable. How is it Allegiant can make more noise is the course of 2 years?

You are clueless. Do some research before spouting info you know nothing about.

Maybe you could just set the record straight. My research leads me to conclude your contract became amendable 8 years ago.

Don't know about Compass, but Skywest is anything but just fine, they are masters at hiding bad news, remember the plane stealing suicide pilot?
