September 2016 according to the memos. It will probably be sooner.

Wayne retiring to pursue "other opportunities " doesn't sound promising.

This was probably planned months ago, but it looks bad. This place has a few years a left.

Keep on ridin' it into the ground! Those jets need to be on a mainline certificate anyways WHERE THEY BELONG. Otherwise, I think there's some serious management incentive (and desperation desire from BB in his e-mail) to put the contract issue to bed "and finally behind us".

They have started to leave the fleet. We are down to 19 Q400s now. Unknown when the east-coast flying will wrap up, but the DEN base will be around until the flying leaves in Sept. 2016.

As a footnote, the E145 contract has been renewed until 2021.

Three have left, and the East is scheduled to be wound down through September this year. That said, a training guy rumored that there will be 7 Qs that will not leave so that they can continue to serve the mountain flying based out of DEN. Riiiiiiight.

Rumor is the break even point on Aspen for United is just shy of 25 seats (on a 71 seat plane). Plus it has a better chance of getting in since it can do the circle AND land with with a higher tailwind. I guarantee you that United would love to keep a few of them around for mountain flying.

If Republic can staff the left seat with enough lifers to fill 7 planes (already close) then training costs will be very low overall.

Republic will do it if the price is right.
