A wholly-owned that was engaged in contract flying for other carriers before the downsizing...

He may not have any intention of shrinking the company. He also may not have much of an option.

AA doesn't own those 175s RAH does. However, I honestly hope mainline takes the 175s.

Then you can bet your a$$ there will be fewer...don't believe anything this guy says.

I think if there are less planes, then Bedford gets paid less. Do you think Bedford is trying to intentionally lower his compensation???

Which is the point I have been trying to convey; but never fear, these guys will ALWAYS believe that BB has some sinister plan

Bedford's pay is not linked to the number of aircraft, but block hours flown....which manages to keep increasing.

Q-400: Still STRUGGLING, if you chose to work here and wish to avoid reserve this is the plane for you. (No I'm not kidding, avoid reserve at all costs)

145: Obviously not counting on ever hiring onto that airplane again. Maybe a class or two for attrition depending on how long we have to keep the operation up and running.

170/175: Right now the classes are about half CHQ transfers. I was in a transfer from CHQ-S5 and have been in simulator limbo for 3 weeks. We had no new hires in our class. Most of the initial transfer are just about done in the box and through ground school. There's 6 transfers next month as FO's. The amount of new hires here have held fairly constant. they aren't getting as many as they need, but they can run a class for shuttle and republic 1-2 a month. Sizes vary.

Clear as mud?
